Plaster Dome

Jill Biskin

This plaster dome is at the top of a stair rotunda in a large residence in Cumming. The painting was done on site to resemble the grillwork of the stair banister, with grape vines intertwined. Dimensions are 25’ diameter by 9’6” deep.

Kitchen Hood

The central panel, painted on linen, is a garden landscape based on the homeowner’s formal garden, with the addition of 18th century figures. The “carved” frame and ornamental elements are actually painted directly on the flat surface of the cast stone hood.
